We've released MacLearn, massively updated it, and added so much new stuff and content in the past year, and we're finally moving from its early phases closer and closer to v.1.0 release. In this crazy massive update, we jumped straight from v.0.14 to v.0.18, and for a good reason. Even though there's only 5 changes, they're all massive. We changed almost everything about MacLearn in this huge update. Here's what's new:

HUGE COURSE RESTRUCTURE
This is easily the biggest change we've ever applied to MacLearn. We had some rather ambitious plans of courses for MacLearn in the future, but because we're a small team and there's many other apps we're also actively working on, it's impossible to achieve these plans and complete the 20+ courses ranging from algebra to history. So we cancelled them. There's just not enoughh resources and time available, and it might not be worth it if we went all in and developed these courses. This is a loss on MacLearn's potential, but after the initial stages of MacLearn and after everything's done, fixed, and stabilized, and after we've grown enough, maybe there's a chance we'll bring some of these courses (or all of them) back in the future. For now, we've reduced the original planned 26 courses down to 3, focusing on our basic web development courses: HTML, CSS, and References. HTML is currently in beta testing, and CSS and References are still in development. We hope the reimagined and restructured MacLearn can be more focused on a few specific courses, bringing more educational resources to people interested in these topics. See you there π!
FOLDERS & FILES REORGANIZATION
Other than the huge removal of courses and deleting their related files and folders, we also updated how we organize our files and folders within MacLearn's structure. We moved some files/folders around, deleted many unneccessary files/folders, renamed some things, and made the site's files more organized and clean to work with. Because of this change, we had to update a lot of pages because of the huge file organization changes and fixed many broken links/styling along the process. This made MacLearn feel much more clean and fresh π.
CSS ADVANCED SECTION!
In this update, we're releasing the advanced section of the CSS course! This is a huge step forward on the development of MacLearn, because it provides even more tutorials, resources, and education on the advanced aspects of CSS, making the course more complete and resourceful for everyone. Because the advanced section is released, we're adding a bunch more advanced tutorials, pages, and more! We also updated and fixed broken links in the course sidebar navigation and the CSS homepage because of the advanced section addition π!
CSS BEGINNER SECTION COMPLETED!
We're very excited to announce that the beginner section of the newest released course, MacLearn CSS Course, is complete! All the articles, tutorials, and resources you need to learn the basics for CSS are all completed and finished! We added so many new articles and tutorials, improved the navigation of the section, and updated a bunch of old content and patched many bugs. The quizzes and exercises in this section will be completed in the next update. The CSS course is now better than ever for you to start learning and styling your website ποΈ!
NEW TAB: Me!
What's the point of a learning platform if you can't track your own learning progress? That's what the brand new Me Tab is for! With the new Me, you can now check your learner's profile on MacLearn, how much progress you've made on your courses, along with your starred pages and tutorials. With this useful new tab, your learning experience is more customized than ever! More features and customization to your profile will be coming in future updates, so stay tuned π§βπ!
