MacVG v2.1 Fall Update

The main focus of this update is the brand new customizable Me tab that we added to MacVG. The Me tab is where your gamer profile is, and it lets you express yourself and show off to other gamers! Add a custom gamer tag, about me bio paragraph, and select a custom profile picture that represents you the best! Along with the gamer profile, we're also introducing streaks in this update, so keep logging on MacVG everyday, grow the streak, and earn that shiny badge displayed at the top of your profile! In the next winter update we're releasing in February, we'll add gaming achievements, favorite curated games and more on the profile page 🎮!

We added relatively few games this update compared to previous updates because we were focusing more on the new Me tab and other features. However, we still managed to add more than 10 new games to MacVG in this update, including some popular hit games, so go check out all the new games in the New Tab and maybe you'll discover your next favorite game! In this update, we made a lot of small but significant quality of life changes across MacVG to improve the overall user experience. We updated the overall styling so the different themes fit with dark/light modes better as well as the new pages, content, and elements. We changed how filtering options display the game count so everything works more smoothly, optimized, and accurately. On top of that, we also added lazy loading of all the games on the home page so only a small section of it renders at once so your poor potato school computer doesn't have to render every game's thumbnail at once, significantly boosting the performance and speed of the game site. We also optimized SEO and monetization to make MacVG more discoverable and make the community more engaged by introducing the brand new exciting Discord server.
